The show committee will communicate pertinent information after closing of entries to Juror/Judge. Selection of works for display and Awards issued are the discretion of the Juror/Judge. One work selected from the entire show will receive the Juror’s Choice Ribbon and awarded a dinner for two at a Loveland restaurant.

Artists with works not accepted in the show will be notified by e-mail or phone. A $2 per day storage fee will be assessed on unaccepted works left after Feb 7.

Categories:Since this is the first Sweet-Art show in many years and not knowing the amount of interest from our members (we hope for plenty), there will not be categories in this show.  All media will be judged against each other.  Future shows may have categories, depending on the member interest.  Let’s have some fun with this show! All entries must have a Sweet-heart theme. Let your imagination run wild and show visitors to the gallery just how talented our members are.

Entries: Entry fee is $10.00 for each entry.  An entry fee of $24 will apply for three entries.  Entries are to be delivered to Lincoln Gallery, January 29th to the 31st. Lincoln Gallery reserves the right to exclude any works for display. Deadline for entry delivery is 2 pm January 31, 2018.

Works receiving a cash award from any previous TVAL show or not completed in the last three years may not be entered. Three-dimensional works no more than 46 inches in any one dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds are acceptable. Artists may be required to provide a display stand. Three-dimensional must be completed works, wall relief works are considered 3-D and must be wired for hanging.

Framed two-dimensional work can be no larger than 42 inches in length on one side. Unframed paintings will be accepted, as long as the canvas is neatly wrapped and secured on the backside. Works with staples visible, excessive wiring or untrimmed canvas are not acceptable. Edges must be completely painted in some manner to be considered a finished work. It is recommended a "Gallery Wrapped" style canvas be secured on 1 1/2" thick stretcher bars to guard against warping. All works must be dry and wired for hanging, no saw tooth hangers.

Entry form with appropriate fees must accompany entries and are available at the gallery or downloadable from the website. Attach corresponding identification tags on lower back of the entered artwork.

All work must be properly identified, for sale and displayed the entire length of the show. (Exception: purchased works may be removed if payment is made in full). Lincoln Gallery will retain a 40% commission before taxes on sales. Commissions on sales will be paid after the sixth of the following month.

Open House and Awards presentation coincides with the 2nd Friday A Night on the Town, February 9, 6pm - 8pm.
