Jean Batchelder delights in nature's magnificence,
spending most weekends hiking,
backpacking, or snowshoeing in the mountains and
canyon country - always with her camera and
watercolor field kit. She captures her
impressions in watercolor, eager to share her joy
with others.
She defines her style as
interpretative realism, integrating light and
color to draw the viewer into the heart of the painting.
Jean was Artist in Residence at Mesa Verde National Park
in 2007.
