Media: Oils

My wife Mary and I moved to Ft Collins from Lincoln, Ne in 2001 after I retired from the Defense and Aerospace business to be near our daughter and her family. We enjoy traveling and in addition to painting I enjoy golf, fishing and hiking.

I have always enjoyed art and dabbled in it off and on during my working life. Upon retirement in 1999 I decided to give it a try, but I knew I needed some classes from a good instructor. I have taken quite a number of studio classes as well as plein air workshops in oil painting from Jeanne Mackenzie. I have also taken classes from Russ Tanner.

My interests are in both landscapes and still life in a style of realistic impressionism. I like to challenge myself by continually trying different subjects.Painting has opened my eyes to the world and I continually see the infinite combinations of colors, values and compositions.
