Nancy Rourke

"My eyes are my 'ears' and my hands are my 'communicator.' I paint from what I see." Nancy Rourke was born and raised in San Diego, California and was diagnosed with deafness at age six. At an early age she discovered her love of art and eventually received a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her artwork is characterized by color value and form and is influenced by the work of the Fauvists and Post-Impressionists.
