I have always had a love for the beauty of nature and the magical drama of light . . .
Carol’s art journey began as a young girl when she obsessively covered the walls of her room with tracings and drawings of horses. Art classes were always her favorite but her practical nature and an affinity for math led her to eventually pursue computer science.
She believes that art, for her, is 90% practice and 10% talent. Years of a demanding career as a software engineer left very little mental energy for improving art skills, but she continued to learn from the occasional workshop or class and experimented with multiple art media. After retirement, she was delighted to devote more time and energy to developing her art.
She loves using Oils and Pastels, and dabbles with Gouache, Watercolor and Scratchboad.
“I have always had a love for the beauty of nature and the magical drama of light, and if my paintings can invite the viewer into that experience, it gives me joy”
