I’ve always loved to create . . .
I’ve always loved to create. It’s always been a part of my life in some form or another. My work is an outlet for feelings I don’t readily share in my everyday life. My studio becomes a space of release and reflection. The process of creating allows me to confront, process, and externalize thoughts and feelings that might otherwise remain hidden.
My paintings are loose and impressionistic. I work through intuition, trying to allow each painting to emerge from a space between conscious intention and surrender. I feel my best work is when I’m not married to the result but rather happily surprised by what emerges, which usually carries more emotion than when I force myself on a painting. I hope my paintings invite the viewer to pause and look for meaning for themselves
