While I have a fiber arts background in many mediums such as basketry, gourd masks and vessels as well as folk art, I have been transforming old books into sculptures that redefine the book and suggest an alternative narrative. For over 15 years I have found myself drawn to the beauty and tactile qualities of old used books and the great enjoyment of recycling books into art and photographing these works of art. I am now showing as a Mixed Media Photographer!
