Annie studied painting and art history at Oregon State University and received a Ph.D in Higher Education. In her career as a college professor she developed cirricula, conducted educational research, published and taught adults in graduate and professional programs.
Recently she was selected as a Silver Brush Artist and certified as a Golden Artist Educator.
Proficient in oil, acrylic,and mixed media she is a colorist who creates expressive images inspired by nature. She teaches painting workshops at Ghost Ranch, the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and other US and international venues.
Her paintings have appeared in numerous shows and art magazines and are widely collected -- recently in a museum collection. She has written two best-selling books - Bold Expressive Painting: Painting Techniques for Still Lifes, Florals and Landscapes in Mixed Media and The Joy of Acrylic Painting published by Northern Light Books.
