I am an avid plein air painter that likes to chase the light.
I paint peaceful places that I’ve been to and am inspired by. My goal in art is to convey this welcoming, calming place in nature to my viewers. My favorite medium is oil but I also paint proficiently in watercolor, pastel and acrylic.

I earned a BFA from the University of Minnesota, have taken numerous workshops and classes from instructors I admire and have been teaching art since the early 2000’s. I have called Colorado home for 27 years and love my surroundings just outside of Loveland. I am an avid plein air painter that likes to chase the light. I participate in plein air events and have traveled overseas with my oils. My art has won numerous awards including Best of Show, Juror and People’s Choice and has been accepted into many national exhibits. I have been attending a weekly life drawing group since 2007 to keep my drawing skills sharp. |
