Students will explore the wonderful world of kiln-formed glass while creating a one-of-a-kind garden decoration. Kiln formed glass is an art form where separate pieces of glass are subjected to high heat (1200 F to 1600 F) to “fuse” the pieces together.

Specialty materials are provided & included in the fee (unryu paper, brushes to use in the wax, hot wax pots, etc.) Students will need to have experience in watercolor. 
All participants will paint the same painting in order to make it possible to complete the project in two days.

The process of watercolor wax batik will be explained, demonstrated and practiced in this hands-on, intensive workshop. Learn how to select the best photos to work from, plan your painting, build the multiple layers of wax and watercolor and then do the final batiking and the “reveal.”
